Hello. How should you print out reports for school? By each subject highest average or all subjects combined averages?
Hi Trinity! That’s totally up to parents. Many parents find it easier to keep track of subject averages if they run a report for each subject, that might be something that’s also beneficial for you. Hope that helps!
Hi, I love in NC, and the schools have put off SAT?CAT testing for this year, due to the circumstances /COVID19. Is that something we need to do? If anyone have info, please forward it to me. Thanks
Hi Earnestine! We recommend that you check with your local school board or state department of education to see if homeschoolers still need to meet the state’s standardized testing requirements. Good luck! 🙂
Is Time4Learning a good option for schooling while kids are out due to coronavirus? I am not looking to homeschool long term.
Hi Katie! Time4Learning would definitely be a good option for you! Our membership is monthly, so you’re never locked into a contract and can cancel anytime. You can start anywhere in a grade level/subject, so you can pick and choose what your students work on and each subject can be set at a different grade level, so you can tailor our curriculum to your student’s needs. Here is a good link for how Time4Learning works: https://www.time4learning.com/curriculum/how-it-works.html

We retired to Cebu City, Philippines last July. My 5th grader ended up in a Montessori school because the school year in PH starts July 1, and the private schools did not have a seat for him. I intend to home school from now on as the public schools here have 50 to 60 students per class and I do not want my boy indoctrinated by the Church. Also, the Corona virus has become a major issue recently. I am aware of the CLEP and AP exams for college admissions in the USA, so we are planning ahead. I am concerned about being able to document his educational progress, I could use some advice. I am hoping time4learning will provide transcripts or reports of some sort. Your program looks very good and we will investigate everything we can.
Hi Barry. Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing. Time4Learning doesn’t provide transcripts, since we are curriculum and not a school. As homeschoolers, the parents complete transcripts. Time4Learning does have automated reports that can help you plug in data for your transcripts, though. Many families find transcript templates (here is a free one: https://www.time4learning.com/blog/tips-worksheets/homeschool-high-school-transcript-template/), taking the information from our reports and adding any outside classes/additional work. Hope that helps! Definitely reach out to us if we can answer any additional questions or help you get started! https://www.time4learning.com/curriculum/contact_us.php

I am new to home schooling and wanted to know if you can give me tips on how to keep the child social.
Hi Shakira! There are so many ways! Groups/co-ops/meet-ups, many places have homeschool days (museums, amusement parks, etc), libraries…
This blog post might be a good resource for you: https://www.time4learning.com/blog/new-homeschooler/socialization-the-biggest-non-issue-in-homeschooling/ 🙂
Well I’m glad I got this email! Yes I’m new to this and yes we got thrown into this accidentally. I will not put my kids back in public school for several reasons. I’m so glad that my youngest is doing so well here at home with the homeschool and he loves the computer! So it’s a win win! My daughter is struggling with it cause she has a hard time catching on but I made her slow down. She’s disappointed at the fact she has to start 9th grade all over since we came in late. She was trying to catch up but failing everything. The one on one y’all i had with her seems to be helping. My oldest daughter will start her senior year as soon as school is over at her school. She just wants to finish her junior year then start taking dual credits at the community college while she finishes her senior year homeschooling. She wants to start her career already and he to her much dreamed of university. So far so good with the homeschooling but still nervous. I’m sure everything will work out great since I have a great friend who has two of her daughters doing the program. Her oldest daughter just graduated from it! At 16!!!!
Hi Tiffany! Thanks so much for taking the time to comment and share your experience. Good luck to you and your family, and definitely let us know if you have further questions! 🙂
There are so many options for home schooling. I’m nervous about this being the right one for us. I can’t afford to choose the wrong one.
Hi Terri. Your concerns are totally understandable! Fortunately, Time4Learning is a monthly membership, with you only paying for the months you use it. You never have to buy a year/grade level at a time, and you’re never under any contract. We also always offer a 14-day money back guarantee, so if you sign up and discover it’s just not a good fit for your family, you can cancel within the first 14 days and receive and full refund. 🙂
Why does it show N/A instead of my sons scores?
Hi Rhonda. Not all activities are scored activities. The N/A could be that it is a non-scored activity, but it could also be that the activity was not exited properly, or the activity was incomplete. Make sure your son is exiting correctly, either by clicking “exit” or “turn in.”
If you’d like additional help or would like to speak with someone, please reach out to our customer support team! 🙂 https://www.time4learning.com/curriculum/contact_us.php
I live in mercer county wv my son was denied homeschoolong due to abcences last year that were all a result of suspensions. I want to homeschool him precisely for this reason he has ADHD ODD and anger issues he is not getting the esuacation he needs because he is always in trouble and they wont let me homeschool him. Can anybody help me understand the law and my right to homeschool him.
Hi Becky. We can’t really offer any legal advice, but I can direct you to this page which does break down the WV homeschool laws: https://a2zhomeschooling.com/laws/united_states/west_virginia_home_school_laws/
You may also want to check out our WV parent forum (https://www.time4learning.net/forum/west-virginia/) and join our Time4Learning Families Facebook group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/Time4LearningFamilies/) to try and connect with other WV homeschoolers who might have gone through something similar and can share their experiences.
I am needing to do a evaluation form for the Polk ,Board of Education, and was told I need a certified teacher to review my children’s homeschool ,how do I go about finding this?
Hi Pangee. You have a few options. We have a state homeschooling page where you can get more information: https://www.time4learning.com/homeschool/state_homeschooling_info.shtml
There is a very active Facebook group for Time4Learning families you can join. You may be able to connect with others who are local to you, to try and get recommendations for someone in your area: https://www.facebook.com/groups/Time4LearningFamilies/
Finally, you can check with your local school board or your state department of education. They may have a list they can provide you, especially if it’s a state requirement.
Good luck! Please feel free to contact us if you need additional help. https://www.time4learning.com/curriculum/contact_us.php
How do I let her high school and state know she is enrolled in home schooling?
Hi Stacy. The process for withdrawing your child from public school varies, depending on your state. Here is a page with homeschooling information by state: https://www.time4learning.com/homeschool/state_homeschooling_info.shtml
From your state page, you can find links to homeschooling laws and resources (like local homeschool groups).
How do we let the state know she is enrolled and fulfilling her obligations and ours too?
I am a new parent to homeschooling in Texas. Does my child have to take a test after completing a grade level to show he knows the information?
Thank you for reaching out to us and for your interest in Time4Learning!
Student’s are not required to take an end of grade test, but they do go through a series of assessments, within the curriculum, to test them on the material they’re learning. Generally, students will complete a few activities and lessons that lead to an assessment. All scores get logged into reports, which you can then access through your parent account to monitor your student’s progress. To see how your student is progressing with the curriculum, you can review their reports at any time to view their scores.
We hope this information has been helpful. If you have any additional questions or need further assistance, please feel free to contact us at [email protected] or at 888-771-0914, and any one of our representatives would be more than happy to assist.
