TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. COMPENSATION. As a State Advisor, you will be an independent contractor to Time4 Learning, Inc. (“T4L”), not an employee. T4L will pay you $100 for serving six months as a State Rep (counting from the day we first post your write-up on our website). By committing to moderating your state forum and agreeing to contact the support groups and lists we provide you, we will compensate you $50 after three months and another $50 after six months. This compensation is provided in exchange for accepting all of the terms and conditions listed here.
2. OWNERSHIP: Any and all writing you provide to us or post online as a State Advisor will be the permanent and exclusive property of T4L. By acting as a State Rep, you hereby assigns all right, title, and interest in that writing to the Company (including any and all copyright, sales rights, derivative rights, electronic rights, digital rights, and all other commercial and artistic rights) and acknowledge that you have no right to or interest in that writing or in any resulting copyright. You acknowledge that the writing has been commissioned by T4L as a "work made-for-hire" as that term is used in the Copyright Law of the United States. You agree that this section will survive (i.e., remain in force permanently after) the termination of this agreement and your commercial relationship with T4L.
3. TRIAL PROGRAM: You are aware that Time4Learning considers this to be a trial program. Future programs may or may not exist, may or may not include compensation, etc. The workload involved in moderating the single thread is unknown but expected to be minor, maybe three to five posts per month. There is no obligation on you as State Advisor to provide any research activities or to answer any post beyond acknowledging the question and suggesting approaches to researching or solving it.
4. TERMINATION: You may terminate this agreement at any time for any reason by providing written notification to T4L and vice versa.
5. LEGAL ADVICE: Both T4L and you agree to make clear to all forum participants that neither party is a legal authority and that, while we make efforts to provide useful information, users must rely on their own legal counsel for guidance on legal matters. |
