Hi, my name is Karen and I homeschool in Canada! I'm a mother of two - - Klaire, age 2 and Noah, age 5. My son is homeschooling in grade 1 and we are using the Time4learning curriculum. We live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

How We Use Time4Learning

I decided to homeschool my son, because I was dissatisfied with the public school system in my area. Luckily, homeschooling in Canada is very much excepted in all provinces. The homeschooling community is a part of our lives. Homeschooling is legal in every province in Canada, but each province has its own Education Act and Regulations. In my province of Ontario, all that is required is a letter of intent to homeschool your child. The letter of intent must be filled out and sent to your local school board. Then, you as the parent can begin to homeschool your child.

• 10:30 AM - A typical school day starts at in the morning with a LA lesson, then afterwards I allow my son to choose the next subject he would like to study next.
• 11:30 AM - Lunch
• 12:30 PM - More Time4learning.com
• 1:15 PM- Snack
• 2:00 PM- I sit down at the kitchen table with him and we work through the worksheets, I have printed-off from the computer, our work resources.
• 3:00 PM- School is finished for the day.
