Wyoming Homeschool Co-ops

A great way to add enrichment to your homeschool is to join a homeschool cooperative or co-op. Co-ops are created by like-minded homeschool parents looking for more. Co-ops often offer classes and clubs, curriculum exchanges, and academic fairs for students.

Group classes and activities will enrich your homeschool program by helping your students grow and adapt, face new challenges, and develop new skill sets. Your students can learn how to work collaboratively and be respectful of others’ opinions.

Being a member in a homeschool co-op can be rewarding for your family. So, think about the following as you consider a membership:

  • Is the co-op secular or Christian? Or, does it welcome everyone?
  • What is the group’s mission?
  • What does the group calendar look like? Is it a good fit for our family’s schedule?
  • Does the group offer classes, clubs, and activities?
  • Are parents required to volunteer time? If so, in what roles?
  • What is the membership fee?
  • Can we enroll in individual classes?

Don’t fall into the biggest homeschooling myth out there. Discover how socialization is an active part of homeschooling.
