Louisiana Homeschool Associations
In almost every state with an active homeschooling population, there is at least one homeschool organization with a focus on protecting the rights of families who have chosen to educate their own children. In each state, these organizations have somewhat different worldviews and operational methods, but they all have in common the desire to support homeschoolers throughout the state.

Homeschool Louisiana: A Community of Christian Home Educators
In Louisiana, there is one statewide organization dedicated to homeschooling and homeschoolers. It is called Homeschool Louisiana (formerly Christian Home Educators Foundation of LA) and is a faith-based association of homeschool support groups around the state.
According to the Homeschool Louisiana website, the mission of the organization is “protecting the God-given, constitutional rights of parents to guide and direct the educations of their children, promoting relevant and accurate information about homeschooling, and providing support to local homeschool groups and families.”
The website hosts information and resources for homeschooling families as well as links to social network profiles where they share updates about homeschool-related items around the state.
