Hi! Welcome to homeschooling! The first thing we recommend is making sure you understand your state’s homeschool laws and requirements. You can find your state here: https://www.time4learning.com/homeschooling/by-state.html

How do we transition to homeschooling halfway through the 8th grade school year? Would we have to start the Time4learning curriculum from the beginning or is there a way to start in the middle?
Hi Julie! Many parents have found themselves making the homeschool decision in the middle of a school year, you’re not alone! We have a guide that you can download for free, to help you make that mid-year transition: https://www.time4learning.com/homeschool/midyear-transition-guide.html
Ultimately Time4Learning is flexible and parent-controlled. You can choose to start at the beginning, and have your student work through to identify and address any gaps, or you can look through the lesson plans and pick and choose what your student completes. Totally up to you!
After you’ve downloaded the guide, please feel free to reach out to our customer support team if you have any additional questions! https://www.time4learning.com/curriculum/contact_us.php
My son is 6, in Kindergarten. He was previously in a virtual school where he was doing speech therapy a couple times a week. For personal reasons, I had to remove him from the school altogether. Would Time4learning be able to provide extra help in speech intervention or would I need to look elsewhere? He is being schooled now and I feel I need more help with it. Thank you.
Hi Kyra! Since we are a curriculum and not a school, we don’t provide any IEP services. However, many schools will continue to provide IEP services that were already in place, even after homeschooling. That does vary by state/school system, so definitely reach out to your school/school board and check!

How will I know when a school year is completed? Is there a set amount of assignments to complete?
Hi Katherine. Within each subject, there is a pre-defined number of lessons/activities, quizzes, and tests. As a homeschooler, you will serve as the Teacher of Record, so you will decide if they need to complete all lessons to finish the school year. Please let us know if we can answer any additional questions! https://www.time4learning.com/curriculum/contact_us.php

Do they need to take state based tests?
Hi! That’s going to vary, depending on your state’s homeschooling laws. You can find your state and learn more here: https://www.time4learning.com/homeschooling/by-state.html
Are there worksheets for the pre-k class?
Hi Whitney! Activities are online. Here’s a link to an outline of our preschool curriculum: https://www.time4learning.com/scope-sequence/preschool.shtml
I am interested in this program but I am wondering if it meets Mass . curriculum standards or not?
Hi Debra! Thanks for your interest. The Time4Learning curriculum is aligned with state and national requirements as they pertain to homeschooling and the subjects of language arts, math, science, and social studies. Some states will require subjects that require parents to supplement (state specific history/citizenship as an example).
You can always compare our scope and sequence with the MA standards to make sure. 🙂 https://www.time4learning.com/scope-sequence/index.shtml
Are there weekly schedules available for 2020? My student isn’t able to find a calendar of weekly assignments like he had in 2019.
Hi Laura! If your student worked from a planner in the past, you’ll have to create a planner if that one has been completed. You can do that in your parent dashboard! 🙂
Can an iPad be used or does it need to be a computer?
Hi Shirley! Most of the activities will work just fine on a tablet. However, some of the K-8 Science and Social Studies activities are Flash-based, and require a device that support Flash (mobile devices do not). Our developer is in the process of converting all Flash-based activities to HTML5, which is supported on mobile devices. All of the K-8 Math and Language Arts activities, as well as K-5 Science4Us have been converted already, and they are currently working on the High School level.
are there textbooks that you can buy to help with learning ?
Hi Alaina! Time4Learning is an online curriculum, so there are no textbooks. We do offer worksheets for some subjects/activities, that you can use for reinforcement or additional practice. You can find those worksheets in the lesson plans. 🙂
what day do i start
Hi Sadie! Since Time4Learning is a curriculum and not a school, you can start any day that you’re ready! 🙂 Definitely feel free to reach out if you need help getting started. https://www.time4learning.com/curriculum/contact_us.php
