Homeschooling during Covid

5 Stars

By Jessica on November 19, 2020

With the pandemic, we enrolled in eLearning with our school and it was very rigid, with 6 hours per day of live online classes. It was way too stressful for a first grader and for my other little ones to stay quiet during the day. We finally decided it was best to try and homeschool for the rest of the year and other homeschool parents recommended Time4Learning for their curriculum. I was very skeptical as to whether or not it would be equivalent, but so far it’s exceeded expectations. It covered a lot of subjects and at a pace that allowed us time to discuss subjects or problems that he didn’t understand. I enrolled my little ones too to catch up with Preschool. They love the videos and have learned so much. The resources and printable worksheets are great as well. I’ve actually enjoyed teaching and taking extra time to help them learn.

Personal favorites about, is the ability to set your child’s grade level and access a grade below and a grade above. Helpful for children who may move quickly through a subject or need a little extra time in another subject. Also I like that it has a spelling list for...

Hey lovelies! So I titled this post the way that I did because as a new school year approaches and most know my intent to homeschool, this is the question I’m being asked on a regular, if not frequent basis. While I know most of those people are genuinely interested it’s funny that...

As a homeschooling parent since 1986, I’ve seen a lot of changes in what is available to us as home educators.  It used to be somewhat limited to the biggies – you know – Abeka, Bob Jones, etc. – and a few radical (at the time) ideas like our first curriculum –...

We began homeschooling our oldest in January.  There are so many options out there when it comes to homeschooling and it can be completely overwhelming.  I decided to look up a program that we used previously, Time4Learning.  They just so happened to have created a High School curriculum.  I...

Since we are homeschoolers, we viewed Time4Learning as a homeschooling supplement as we are pursuing the eclectic approach this year, it makes it fun and never boring. You can however even use Time4Learning as a full homeschool curriculum as well as there are even printables and tests and online...
