We used Teaching Textbooks, but my kids learn differently

Time4Learning is a wonderful online program that can be used to enhance your homeschool experience. Some homeschool parents choose to use it as a core curriculum for their children. Others choose to use it to supplement their curriculum.

I have done a lot of research, and have used quite a few different curriculum choices.

This is our first year homeschooling, so it has not been uncommon for me to change our studies to meet my children’s needs. I think we have finally fine tuned everything!

At times it can be quite challenging to meet the needs of both girls, because they are in different grade levels. Not to mention, I would be horrified if I missed something that they needed to know!

I find that Time4Learning is fun, and very thorough with it’s Language Arts, and Math lessons.

We have used Teaching Textbooks, and they are great too. But I have also come to realize that my children learn a little bit differently than the way these books teach.

When I was in school I was very good at math, and learned short cuts to find answers quicker. The Teaching Textbook way is definitely not short! It even frustrates my daughter to the point of tears sometimes.

So I have found that the Time4Learning Math lessons are more useful for my children. If needed, we just print out extra worksheets to extend a lesson.

I can not say enough about their Language Arts program. It covers everything! It is so much better than traditional grammar books all the time!

I would recommend Time4Learning for anyone who is looking for online curriculum. You really can customize it for your child. You have the option to work at grade level, or one grade above or below. This software actually keeps track of the graded assignments for you! It is a wonderful asset to anyone who is homeschooling.

As a member of Time4Learning, I have been asked to review their online education program and share my experiences. While I was compensated, this review was not written or edited by Time4Learning and my opinion is entirely my own. Write your own curriculum review or learn how to use their curriculum for homeschool, after school study or summer learning.
