games, learning activities, educational games, and fun.
Safe
- Lets admit it, online gaming can be a little too
ugly for younger kids. The game sites - Yahooligans, PopCap
Games, Games.com, AddictingGames - use online games to sell
to the kids more complete versions of the games, to get children
to click-through on ads, or worst of all, to get users to
install their "free games" which can fill computers
with spyware and pop-ups-making computers act like they've
been possessed. And many game sites provide a chat service
as part of the game, certainly not appropriate for young children.
The brand name web sites have also become extremely commercial
--- Disney, Lego, Crayola, Warner Brothers. If you are like
most parents of children under 10, you would like to have
your children play where its safe to click on any of the buttons.
Young children deserve games designed to entertain and to
teach, not to sell or to advertise.

is mix of educational materials, edutainment, and "casual"
